Timber trestle on the SI

This tall frame trestle on the Spokane International Railroad is typical of many found all over the U.S. into the early 1900s. Located in lumber country, this wood trestle was still receiving heavy use in 1955, when three RS1 road-switchers crossed it with a freight.
