Bumping this to the top…much appreciated…
does anyone know a source for that f-unit silhouette? It’s shown at 2:13 in the video. Nothing found via the normal Google searches…
Hey there, David — I’ll have to check on the specific vendor name when I get home, but I have the similar CPR F-unit illuminated silhouette on my wall. However, I wanna say that the MR&T version was a custom run from 4-5+ years ago – not sure Co. is still around, but they were regular attendees at MKE Trainfest. -kjj
UPDATE – Stoddart’s Ltd. Company… they also produced wooden replica drumheads — again, can’t confirm they are still manufacturing either, but they did advertise in Kalmbach publications at one time.
Thank you Kent! PS love the (unfortunately infrequent) videos of your O scale layout! I’m in the early stages of building out a new 30×30’ O scale layout after moving from VT to TN recently. DL
Update: stoddarts ltd still around but sold all of their inventory a couple of years ago. I sent them a note to see if they have any plans to resume. Thanks again Kent!
Alrighty then, it worked all the way through this time. Great place to work indeed, I wish you all the best in the new digs and I’m looking forward to the next project layout.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you and your families.
Well it was good until I got the This video file cannot be played.
(Error Code: 233001) I guess I restart it to see if it will work all the way through.
Looks great.
All the best in your new home, always look forward to your publications, articles and model trains items. Good luck and a happy, healthy holiday season and bright future. Bill Schmidt
Looks great! Where did that giant F-unit MR&T loco nose on the wall come from?
Seriously, does anyone know a source for that f-unit silhouette? It’s shown at 2:13 in the video. Nothing found via the normal Google searches…
Nice digs. Most interesting question, though, is what effect this move and purchase will have on the published magazine in size, focus and content. Would be nice to see a June or July MR of close to 100 pages chock full of articles, reviews, layout visits, ads, how-to’s, etc. to compete with the White River magazines Model Railroad News and Craftsman.
That’s great news about an upcoming project layout. Any hints about scale, layout size, era, locale, or roadname? Whatever it is, I’m looking forward to it.
The new offices look great! Question – did the Snake Job addition to the Beer Line make it to the new space? Marc
The new spaces look great. The workbenches look height adjustable which I’m sure makes things more comfortable to fit the work level to what you need. Looking forward to seeing the new layout build.
Looks good David really enjoy the new MR Headquarters. Hopefully the new layout coming will be a rebuild of the MR&T I miss that layout.
Thanks for the tour! Looks like a great space!
I am certainly glad ya’ll are not bumping elbows in some small place. Happy Christmas to all and a great New Year.
I hope you get a new version of the MR&T ready to run soon, and happy holidays
Looking forward to seeing it in person one day
Thank you for the tour!
May your holidays be merry and bright.
